Santa Rosa Beach for Golfers

Santa Rosa Beach is a Florida community located in the region of the state known as the "panhandle. It is located along the area locals call the "Emerald Coast" for the brilliant hue of the Gulf of Mexico waters lapping the shores of beaches covered in fine, white sugar sand.



Many tourists who stay in Santa Rosa Beach holiday homes and rentals come here for the golfing opportunities available at the Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club. Indeed, Golf Magazine has called this course the "purest golf on the Panhandle; perhaps because the course delivers a great deal more than mere golf. The club is situated between a stretch of beach and one of the small forests that grow natively in this region of Florida. This course is the only one in the Panhandle to have such close access to the Gulf of Mexico.



This means that golfers waiting for their turn to tee off can take in the beautiful scenery, allowing it to entertain them. Even those who sometimes find golf to be a little bit tedious will not think so when it is played in such lovely surroundings, since the course itself takes full advantage of the natural area surrounding it.



The course features 18 holes and has recently been renovated with improved greens. Food is available on site, with both lunch and breakfast served daily so that visitors need not leave the course between rounds to get a bite to eat.



The course opens daily at 7am, with public rates varying by season.
