St. Joe Beach Offers Gulf Climate

St. Joe Beach is a coastal city in Florida. It is situated in between the cities of Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach, making a wide variety of tourist amenities available within a drive of approximately five minutes. Many tourists prefer St. Joe Beach holiday homes because the town features quaint beach cottages that still retain their original architecture and charm, making a visit here somewhat akin to stepping back into the glamorous past of "Old Florida".



St. Joe Beach is located along the Gulf Coast of Florida, which means that the warm temperatures found year-round here are tempered by breezes blowing in from the Gulf waters, leading to a lovely climate that has drawn many tourists and retirees south so they no longer need deal with cold climates during the winter. In St. Joe Beach specifically, the shoreline faces the Cape San Blas Peninsula instead of directly fronting Gulf waters. This provides swimmers with a stretch of water that is calmer than the Gulf since the Peninsula breaks up the waves coming in from the Gulf. The result is a lovely, tranquil spot for both sunbathing and tranquil water sports such as floating on inflatable rafts or paddling along in inflatable canoes.



St. Joe Shores



Part of the shoreline in St. Joe Beach is referred to as St. Joe Shores by locals. This area is secluded because busy Highway 98 has bypassed it, and is a favorite with locals because it is less crowded than the beach areas accessible from major highways.
