Orlando, Florida is probably best known for its Walt Disney attractions, including Disney World, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and the Epcot Center. Tourists with a sufficient time to spend in their Orlando vacation rentals, however, will find that there is a wealth of other attractions to be found in this city located in southern Florida.
One of the best set of amusement parks to be found anywhere is in the Universal complex, which features a Jurassic Park River Ride at the Universal Studios Florida Park. Tourists will also enjoy the Islands of Adventure theme park, which includes a recently added attraction called the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Florida has a reputation for year-round warmth, making it a tourist destination that is great for fall and winter. Even at these times of the year, visitors to Sea World will not mind being splashed by Shamu, the most famous killer whale in the world. Another popular wildlife attraction is Gatorland, which features live crocodiles wrestling each other and jumping five feet out of the water in search of food during public shows. Private tours are also available for a fee, allowing visitors to accompany a trainer for several hours as he goes on his rounds.
