3 Bedroom Farmhouse (Sleeps 4-6). Rural and rustic setting in the quiet farming hamlet of Pradines, close to tourist village of Najac. Located on the forested Viaur River valley a hiking paradise with great cycling, rock climbing, canoe/kayaking.

Property Details

The hamlet of Pradines is north of Albi and northeast of Toulouse. Pradines can only be found on the large scale maps of the Aveyron area.

Fully restored three bedroom farmhouse (two with queen beds, one with two double beds). Living area with fireplace, dining/kitchen area, bathroom with shower. Superb view from terrace overlooking Viaur River valley.

Furnished with combination of antique and modern furniture. Kitchen/Dining room is well equipped. Also dining on the open terrace available in season. House has three floors. Ground Floor: Bathroom, Master Bedroom (queen-size bed), laundry/storage. Entrance Floor: Living, Dining, Kitchen, Fireplace, Terrace. Third Floor: Bedroom with Queen-Size and Bedroom with two double beds.

The countryside varies from flat arid plateaus to gently rolling wine growing areas to spectacular rugged river gorges. The changes are often abrupt and dramatic. A variety of 12th and 13th century fortified towns, chateaux, museums, and wineries (100+ in Gaillac region)are within an hour's drive.

Visiting beautifully restored fortified hilltop towns such as Cordes, Puycelci, Castelnau de Montmiral and Najac will transport you back to the 12th and 13th centuries. The region has maintained a natural and unique quality with friendly and accommodating people. There are relatively few tourists.

**Note: Some french language skills are very helpful in this region.
