Lymington is an ancient port town on the Lymington River at the edge of the New Forest National Park and close to an unspoilt part of the South Coast. Lymington is a thriving leisure sailing centre and has been used as a base by many famous sailors while preparing for their adventures. The town has many unusual and interesting shops and restaurants and a Saturday market. It is not far from Keyhaven marshes, long reknowned as a favourite spot for bird watching.
