Bonita Springs is a resort city located in Lee County, Florida. Occupying a lovely portion of the southwestern coast, Bonita Springs has fewer than 50,000 permanent residents, but attracts many tourists who wish to go fishing in either Estero Bay or beyond it, in the Gulf of Mexico. The climate in this part of Florida is tropical, with average temperatures even in January only falling into the mid-60s. This makes Bonita Springs an ideal vacation getaway during both winter and summer.

Holiday homes in Bonita Springs allow visitors to enjoy many points of interest, including Bonita Beach Park, a coastal beachfront park that offers a boardwalk as well as a swimming area. The park occupies over two acres of property and features sand dunes, a gazebo, and several picnic shelters for those who like to dine within sight of the surf.

The Barefoot Beach Preserve Park occupies almost 350 acres of coastal land. Located at the junction of Collier and Lee Counties, the preserve is one of the last undeveloped areas on Florida's barrier islands. Another interesting park is Lover's Key State Park, almost five times the size. This park consists of four barrier islands and allows visitors to enjoy canoeing, sea kayaking, hiking, and bicycling. Of particular interest to many visitors is the chance to wander through acres of mangroves and observe such native species as West Indian Manatees and bald eagles.
