Roatan, long known by scuba divers as one of the best places for great diving, friendly people, and low cost vacations, is coming of age. No longer just for divers, Roatan is a well rounded Caribbean vacation destination. No, you won't find hi-rise hotels, casinos, limos and banks here. What you will fiind is a laid back beautifully hilly green island, surrounded by pristine waters and coral reefs. The range of hotels, activities, restaurants, shopping, and night life increase every month, and value and service are routinely better than most other Caribbean destinations. You can also find a vacation property or second home here, at a fraction of what you would pay in other destinations. Roatan could be compared to Cozumel 25 years ago, except with its hills it is a much prettier island to begin with.
