Great Places to Eat in Clearwater Beach, Florida

The main attraction of Clearwater Beach for tourists is, not surprisingly, the beautiful sugar sand beaches. Second in popularity, perhaps, is the Clearwater Marine Aquarium where dolphins and other marine species make their homes.

In between attractions and lazy days sunning in the Florida warmth, however, tourists need to eat. The Salt Rock Grill

Located in the nearby town of Indian Shores, the Salt Rock Grill bases its menu around the tradition of the grilled feast that lasts for hours. These feasts have been held on beaches for generations, but the Salt Rock Grill has updated the tradition by bringing it indoors into a comfortable environment.

Featuring a "surf and turf" approach to cuisine, house specialties at the Salt Rock Grill include fresh fish in crab cream sauce, salmon croquettes, filet mignon Bordelaise, and jumbo lump crab cakes. For those with an urge for comfort food, they also offer dishes such as mile high meatloaf served with crispy onion straws and pit grilled pork chops. A full bar is available as is a wine list.

For a more informal environment, try Frenchy's Saltwater Caf, located on the beach. The caf serves a variety of sandwiches and fried appetizers.
