Cinnamon Fern Chalet, professionally decorated, and located in the Northpoint resort in Canaan Valley, West Virginia, is a recent entry to the vacation rental market. Cinnamon Fern Chalet is a well equipped, multi-level, contemporary cedar house with walls of glass, great room with vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling fireplace, and several decks. This wonderful mountain home has 3 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. While the chalet can accommodate up to 10 guests in beds, this house is cozy with even 2 guests.

Cinnamon Fern Chalet is equipped with amenities for young guests, such as highchair and toys. It also has an XBOX game console & games, books, board games, as well as music and movie libraries for guests of all ages. The movie library has over 100 titles and there are at least 15 XBOX games. Cinnamon Fern Chalet’s guests have access to high-speed, Wi-Fi Internet. Local telephone calls are free. The decks feature an outdoor hot tub, wood Adirondack chairs, porch swing, charcoal grill, and picnic table.

Cinnamon Fern Chalet's setting is very. The community borders the Monongahela National Forest. The driveway connects to trails to the trail systems of Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls state parks, Canaan Mountain, and the Canaan Valley Wild Life Refuge.

There are beautiful winter views of the valley, wildlife refuge, and the ski areas. The ski areas are four to five miles away. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular from the chalet’s walls of glass!.

On the main level, the Great Room has a vaulted ceiling with skylights. From comfortable leather sofas and chairs guests can appreciate the warmth from the floor-to-ceiling, fieldstone wood fireplace and the views. Cinnamon Fern Chalet’s entertainment center has a 32" television, cable, VHS, DVD, & CD players, and radio. The kitchen is fully equipped with several appliances and many extras, including cutlery, plates, and cups for children. All guests can be accommodated at meals at the same time. A full bath is conveniently located on this level.

On the first level, Cinnamon Fern Chalet has a bathroom with a whirlpool tub/shower, two bedrooms, and a laundry room. One bedroom has a king bed, which with advanced notice, can be reconfigured into two twins, and a queen leather sleeper sofa. This bedroom has direct entry to the bathroom. The second bedroom has two queens. Both bedrooms have cable TV with VCR and direct access to the lower deck. The loft has a king, a twin daybed, and a rollout twin trundle. The bathroom can be accessed without going into the bedroom. The loft has cable TV with VCR, as well as a stereo radio/CD/cassette player.

Each bedroom has luggage racks. Several board and card games, as well as blocks and Legos are provided for guests. For younger guests, the chalet has outlet covers and a portable playpen/crib.

The Canaan Valley is the premier destination for outdoor activities. Cinnamon Fern Chalet guests have many options. Hiking and cross country trails are just outside of the door, which access the one million acre Monongahela as well as the Canaan Valley Resort, Blackwater Falls Park, Canaan Valley Wildlife Refuge Area, and Canaan Valley Institute Reserve. Cinnamon Fern Chalet is only a few minutes drive from all area attractions including Dolly Sods and Otter Creek wilderness areas, Timberline (4 miles), and White Grass Cross Country Center (4 miles), Canaan Valley Resort (4 miles), the Allegheny Highlands Rail Trail, and the Fairfax Stone Park.

Cinnamon Fern Chalet is pet friendly so guests can bring one or two small dogs after making prior arrangements. Please bring your dog’s crate and bed.

In winter, four-wheel drive is recommended for the mountain roads.
