Casa Portagioia is a small estate near Castiglion Fiorentino and Cortona in Tuscany. offering two 2 suite apartments each accommodating 2–4 guests and offering complete privacy, a heated swimming pool and the most gorgeous scenery.

Casa Portagioia offer 2 self-catering apartments.

Both apartments have interior and exterior dining areas; with the upper apartment, Funghini, having a private terrace with panoramic views, while the lower apartment, Andreocci, has a private, planted rose pergola, also with wonderful views.

Both apartments have wood-burning stoves in the main living room coupled with self-controllable central heating throughout the apartment assuring a cosy off-season visit too. Each apartment is tastefully decorated and furnished with its own bathroom. Air-conditioning cools the bedroom and satellite television/radio for your relaxation. All external windows are fitted with insect nets enabling windows to be left open at all times during the warm Tuscan evenings.

Each apartment includes a double bedroom with a queen size (5' 6) orthopaedic bed with all quality freshly laundered Egyptian cotton bedding provided.

Portagioia is both perfect for a peaceful break in the countryside or to explore the delights of Tuscany and Umbria including Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, Assisi, Pienza, Arezzo and the Chianti region - to name but a few. Casa Portagioia - Tuscany Bed and Breakfast at its finest!

More important is the fact that we know how much planning goes into your vacation and there is too long a space between them. Here, at Casa Portagioia, relaxation is our keyword: we look after our guests every need; from very comfortable beds; a leisurely breakfast overlooking our olive groves and the glorious valley basin and our gardens; to helping arrange day trips to the fabulous sites of Tuscany and Umbria. When just a lazy day is required our solar-heated pool with its gorgeous panoramic views across the Valle di Chio will get you ready for the various restaurants of Cortona, Arezzo and Castiglion Fiorentino. You may even be staying with us when we offer our guests dinner (twice weekly); a freshly prepared 5 course meal, served in a very relaxed manner and perhaps accompanied by some very interesting Tuscan wines, if you choose.

During August, Cortona hosts the famous Tuscan Sun Festival - (The Tuscan Sun Festival celebrates its sixth anniversary in 2008. A stunning setting for a magical event.
