Our Gite: L'Ecurie

L'Ecurie is a recently rebuilt and refurbished detached two bedroom cottage that sleeps 4/5 people.

There is an enclosed private garden for the gite with a swimming pool in the large shared garden with the owners, a 14ft trampoline with a safety enclosure and a huge pond with carp if you like to fish
Gite Features

Our cottage has two floors. On the ground floor we have:

Bathroom - equipped with an enclosed shower, sink and toilet. Towels are provided.

Fully equiped kitchen - cooker,washing machine,dining table etc. Cooking utensils,cutlery and crockery are all provided perfect for self catering. We also provide a welcome pack for you on arrival,including some of our gorgeous free range eggs ('made' by our own French hens!).

The dining tables provides seating for up to six people (but you may wish to dine outside alfresco!)

As with the whole cottage the kitchen is newly furbished and the floor is tiled which means that the kitchen is easy to clean should any mishaps occur during your stay!
Living room

We know that after a busy day sight-seeing or a fun day at the cottage it's important for you to have a place to relax and unwind. We've made every effort to make our cottage as homely as possible which is why the living room is equipped with:

Satellite tv channels
DVD Player
Playstation
A selection of board games (with more available on request)
We have strived to maintain some of the original features of the accomodation and in the living room there are some exposed original stone walls, exposed beams and a small woodburning stove.
Bedrooms

Leading up the stairs from the living room we have:

Four-poster Master Bedroom

The main bedroom contains a beautiful four poster bed and is a lovely light, relaxing room. It is equipped with a wardrobe, a set of drawers, a lamp and a lovely dressing screen.
Twin bed Bedroom

Adjoining the master bedroom is the twin bed bedroom (an extra bed when needed). The picture to the side is of one side of the room, showing one bed and a small unit with lamp.

The other bed is across the room and is quite a distance - great if the other person snores! The room is tastefully decorated but with hard-wearing laminate flooring etc. so that even the most playful children are unlikely to cause any problems - your peace of mind is important to us.

There is a lovely view from the window.

Bedding and linen are provided for both bedrooms.
Outside Features

Immediately outside of our cottage there is an enclosed south facing white gravelled garden with a dining table and BBQ to dine alfresco.

The typically wonderful weather we experience here in France means that eating outside most evenings and enjoying the amazing sunsets is a real possibility if you so wish.

There is also a large garden (with amazing views!) that contains an above ground swimming pool, a baby paddling pool and 14ft trampoline shared with owners

Other Facilities
Also available is ping-pong, a net for playing badminton, table football, bike-hire, French satellite TV, playstation with a selection of games and many DVD's and videos to borrow. These facilities make our cottage a wonderful place to stay for the whole family, with enough to keep even the most active kids happy.

We are also very happy to host BBQ nights, quiz nights etc. - just ask! We can also provide babysitting, which is available on request.

All towels and bedding are provided. Free range eggs available daily.



Further information

We are English owners and are always on hand to help in any way or give information on the area and facilities.

We are very easy to find, just 5km from the A62 junction 4 exit.

The area is very beautiful and tranquil, fantastic for bike riding and walking, it is also a birdwatchers paradise many herons, kingfishers and birds of prey.

There is a fishing lake very nearby with a pony club next door who will cater for any of your needs. The perfect family getaway! We truly feel that L'Ecurie is a wonderful place to holiday at and are committed to giving you the best experience possible. We accept all major credit and debit cards securely online or by phone for both deposit and final payments.Please email us on how to book securely online using credit or debit cards or use paypal securely.
There is a 20% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.Balance is due 8 weeks prior to rental. We also take payment in euros.
