One bedroom studio cottage on the edge of Gunflint Lake. The cottage is simple and charming, offering cozy accommodations for a single guest or couple looking for a quiet getaway on Cortes Island. Bring your canoe or kayak and paddle across the lake to Hague Lake, as the two are connected via a channel. The sandy, sunny swimming beach on Hague Lake is a short and enjoyable paddle away through Kw''as Bay Park. You''ll see eagle, deer, heron, red-winged black birds, and possibly resident beaver along your way.
The cottage has a small but well equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, and appliances for your cooking needs. Another quiet couple live in the main home on the same property, and the two accommodations are separated from another by bushes, foliage, and trees, providing ample privacy.
There is a bathroom with shower, and a queen bed with new linens for a peaceful and nurturing night''s sleep. Wake up to the lakeside birds chirping their sweet song. Our favourite way start the morning is a quick morning dip in the delightful lake waters!

| Cancellation Policy Confirmed reservations are non-refundable. However, in the event of a cancellation, Cortes Island Vacation Rentals will attempt to re-rent the property, and if successful, Cortes Island Vacation Rentals will refund the Guest money in full, less a 10% cancellation fee. A proportionate refund will apply if the property is re-booked for only a part of the Guest\'s reserved time. If the property is not re-rented, CIVR will retain all payments. No refunds will be made for unused days or early departures. If, for any reason, the Owner cancels a confirmed reservation of the Property or the Property is rendered uninhabitable, other than as a result of a default by the Guest or an invitee of the Guest, the Owner will refund to the Guest the reservation payment paid by the Guest. Cortes Island Vacation Rentals will make reasonable efforts to find another property represented by Cortes Island Vacation Rentals for use by the Guest. Neither the Owner or Cortes Island Vacation Rentals will be liable in any way to the Guest in the event of a cancellation of a confirmed booking, other than as expressly set forth in this paragraph, and the Guests\' damages or claims shall be limited to the return of funds paid. |
Deposit Policy For reservations made more than 60 days before the arrival date, 50% of the total rental amount is due upon booking. A receipt will be sent by email with confirmation of payment of the deposit, also indicating the balance due. For reservations made within 60 days of the arrival date, 100% of the total rental amount is due upon booking. A receipt will be sent by email with confirmation of payment. |
