Take the stairs to the beach below where you can hike, swim, or, at low tide, collect oysters for grilling on the deck. Large windows and sliding glass doors allow for spectacular views of water, snow-capped mountains, sunrise and moonrise. On the south end of the island, the house offers privacy and peace while only a ten-minute walk, through the forest, to Hollyhock or to Smelt Bay. The home is also located close to Smelt Bay park with more sandy beaches.
The large kitchen dining area is great for family meals or large gatherings. There are sliding glass doors that open onto the large deck areas in front. There is also a covered back deck that overlooks the private fenced, landscaped yard.
The open floor plan and high ceilings make the home bright and airy even on a cloudy day. There is a large family room with numerous bed choices and doors opening on to a covered deck.
The master bedroom and second bedroom is upstairs. (There are 2 full bedrooms with queen-size beds, plus a queen-size fold-out sofa bed in the den, and one bedroom with 2 twin beds). There are two full bathrooms plus an out door shower. Truly a deluxe holiday!<br><br>

| Cancellation Policy Confirmed reservations are non-refundable. However, in the event of a cancellation, Cortes Island Vacation Rentals will attempt to re-rent the property, and if successful, Cortes Island Vacation Rentals will refund the Guest money in full, less a 10% cancellation fee. A proportionate refund will apply if the property is re-booked for only a part of the Guest\'s reserved time. If the property is not re-rented, CIVR will retain all payments. No refunds will be made for unused days or early departures. If, for any reason, the Owner cancels a confirmed reservation of the Property or the Property is rendered uninhabitable, other than as a result of a default by the Guest or an invitee of the Guest, the Owner will refund to the Guest the reservation payment paid by the Guest. Cortes Island Vacation Rentals will make reasonable efforts to find another property represented by Cortes Island Vacation Rentals for use by the Guest. Neither the Owner or Cortes Island Vacation Rentals will be liable in any way to the Guest in the event of a cancellation of a confirmed booking, other than as expressly set forth in this paragraph, and the Guests\' damages or claims shall be limited to the return of funds paid. |
Deposit Policy For reservations made more than 60 days before the arrival date, 50% of the total rental amount is due upon booking. A receipt will be sent by email with confirmation of payment of the deposit, also indicating the balance due. For reservations made within 60 days of the arrival date, 100% of the total rental amount is due upon booking. A receipt will be sent by email with confirmation of payment. |
