The Kauai Kai (Sea of Kauai) is only 80 feet from the beach. This AIR-CONDITIONED rental on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers impressive views from one end of Hauula bay to the other with the beautiful Koolau Mountains beyond. This is a spacious (700+ sf living area) one bedroom, one bath rental and was remodeled in 2007 with granite countertops, new bathroom, and travertine stone floors. The Kauai Kai has a plantation style lanai overlooking our tropical courtyard & the beautiful Pacific Ocean just 80 feet beyond.

The Kauai Kai features a complete, modern and open kitchen with granite countertops, a sealed top stove/range, microwave, side by side fridge, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The dining area, located on your private covered exterior lanai, has a table/seating for four. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and enjoys direct ocean views.

There is a queen size futon with 8” mattress in the living room. The bedroom area is furnished with an elegant and tropical teak and bamboo bedroom set and a King size bed. The remodeled bath (2007) features a full size bathtub & pedestal sink. The rental has a/c & tropical ceiling fans although it is rarely needed as we enjoy cool ocean breezes year around.

Although the Kauai Kai is not one of our direct beachfront rentals it is located on our beachfront property, thus you can use our beachfront decks, hot tubs, and chaise lounge chairs anytime

Enjoy relaxing on our direct beachfront yards which overlook the blue Pacific Ocean. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on our grassy beachside yards. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in one of our four hot tubs, stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled ''Hawaiian'' style towns on Oahu. Enjoy your Hawaii vacation directly on the beach with in our North Shore beachfront vacation homes.

All our properties are located in the fishing town of Hauula on the North Shore of Oahu near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are approximately 1 hour from Honolulu International Airport; where the Ko''olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Although we are “away from it all” we do have the Hauula Kai shopping center a short walk/drive away which has a large grocery store and several restaurants.

Our rural community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist centers of Waikiki & Ko''olina. With hiking trails and unspoiled beaches, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki.

If you want to escape the crowds and discover a quieter and more peaceful alternative to the hotel and resort scene then Hale Ko''olau is perfect for you. Although our rentals are entirely self-catering we do have someone available on-site every day from 10am to 6pm to answer questions, give suggestions on where to go and what to do, or to just talk story.
