Hale Kumula''au is an AIR-CONDITIONED 2 bedroom, 1 bath home that is very economical yet right by the beach. In addition to the interior living area (approx. 800 sf) there is also a large covered and tiled ocean-view lanai with 250 SF of space. The kitchen & bath were remodeled in 2004. The interior dining area seats four people & the exterior table set outside on the lanai also seats four. Both bedrooms have queen-size Sealy posturepedic pillow-top beds and the living room has one queen and one full futon with 8” mattresses.

From the lanai you can enjoy the sights & sounds of the Pacific ocean just 80 feet away through our own private ''compound'' of homes. This means you do not have to walk very far or cross a busy highway to get to the beach. Although the Hale Kumula''au is not one of our direct beachfront rentals it is located on our beachfront property, thus you can use our beachfront decks, hot tubs, and chaise lounge chairs anytime.

Enjoy relaxing on our direct beachfront yards which overlook the blue Pacific Ocean. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on our grassy beachside yards. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in one of our four hot tubs, stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled ''Hawaiian'' style towns on Oahu. Enjoy your Hawaii vacation directly on the beach with in our North Shore beachfront vacation homes.

All our properties are located in the fishing town of Hauula on the North Shore of Oahu near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are approximately 1 hour from Honolulu International Airport; where the Ko''olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Although we are “away from it all” we do have the Hauula Kai shopping center a short walk/drive away which has a large grocery store and several restaurants.

Our rural community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist centers of Waikiki & Ko''olina. With hiking trails and unspoiled beaches, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki.

If you want to escape the crowds and discover a quieter and more peaceful alternative to the hotel and resort scene then Hale Ko''olau is perfect for you. Although our rentals are entirely self-catering we do have someone available on-site every day from 10am to 6pm to answer questions, give suggestions on where to go and what to do, or to just talk story.
