Within walking distance (10 minutes) are Ile saint-Louis, Ile de la Cité (with Notre-Dame), the Place des Vosges with French novelist Victor Hugo's house in which he wrote his novels, especially Les Misérables, and Musée Picasso. Within walking distance (15 minutes) there is also Marché d'Aligre, the typical and cheapest daily open-air food market of the capital. The building has modern security with digicode, intercom, double doors and concierge service. It is very conveniently situated across the street from metro station Quai de la Râpée and is 10 minutes from major metro station, Bastille. You will find all kinds of caterers and shops (including a Monoprix store) in the rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine off Place de la Bastille.

The apartment is immaculate and is therefore strictly non-smoking no-pets. In it you will also find 3 fans, an iron, an electric kettle, a hair drier, guidebooks, maps and tourist literature, detergents for both the dishwasher and the washing machine, salt, pepper, sugar, oil, vinegar and whatever you might need for the 1st day breakfast. The owner besides travelling extensively will most of the time assist you personally. Fluent in English & French, she resides close by and acts as on-site agent.
