Le Helas Izella is a tranquil hamlet in the hills above Huelgoat, but is only a 10 minute drive from this attractive little town with its lakeside creperies, and market square full of shops - boulangeries, charcuterie, tea shops, restaurants, bars, food shops etc. There are beautiful walks in the famous woods of the area characterized by huge granite boulders, tumbling streams and Breton Legend. All outdoor pursuits are catered for, including swimming, horseriding, fishing, cycling (just below Le Helas a disused railway line has been turned into a cycle/walking track and this runs for 30 miles south of Morlaix.) and golf at nearby Poullaouen.North, west and south coasts and its offshore islands are all within easy driving distance including the Crozen peninsular, a favourite for bird watchers, as well as the breathtaking coastal scenery and beaches.
There is ample parking shared between the two properties and secure bicycle storage.
Being centrally placed in Finistère, all coasts are within about an hours driving distance. They are among the most beautiful, with tremendous unspoilt beaches and hundreds of islands, which make.
wonderful day trips. The most convenient port is Roscoff.
La Grange is situated adjacent to Le Helas and is a brand new barn conversion in traditional Breton style, offering spacious accommodation which is light, warm and sunny. Suitable for use all year round due to night storage heaters, log effect fire and lots of insulationounge with electric feature woodburner leading to large kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom.
The Accomodation is on two floors as follows: French windows lead into the dining room/kitchen which has a large table with chairs and a bookcase. The modern kitchen comprises double oven and hob, ‘fridge and washing machine. There is a toaster, kettle, iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc., together with a full complement of china, glass, cutlery and all cooking utensils etc. Also a good supply of books, videos, games etc. Two steps lead down to the living room with French windows to south facing patio with table and chairs overlooking wonderful scenery. There is a new and comfortable bed settee and other easy chairs, coffee tables and table lamps, VCR DVD and CD. A pine staircase leads to two large, light and airy bedrooms, having additional velux windows in the ceiling and wonderful views.
There are two large bedrooms.
Bedroom 1: Providing a double bed and a put-up-up, bedside tables and lamps, two chairs, chest of drawers, blanket chest and a wash hand basin.
Bedroom 2: Providing two single beds, bedside tables and lamp, chest of drawers, two chairs, clothes hanging facility and a wash hand basin.
Bathroom: This is upstairs and comprises, bath, shower, W.C. and wash hand basin.There is a separate W.C. next to the bathroom.
Outside:
The end of the property faces the valley and there is a patio area with pergola, table and chairs. Where you can enjoy a glass of wine on those warm summer evenings.
The whole cottage has been artistically furnished and decorated, ensuring your holiday is a rewarding experience. The house is non-smoking.
