The Grounds:
The garden is large and includes attached out buildings, which were used to house and feed the farm animals. There is a large barn with a barn owl usually in residence. Immediately in front of the house is a small area with a variety of shrubs and flowers. A path leads through to a large lawned area with more shrubs and trees. There is plenty of room to lounge in the sun, kick a football and play. For use in the garden there is a table and 6 chairs and a barbeque.
Many birds come into the garden and we have seen jays, warblers, bullfinch, and often see birds of prey soaring nearby.
For anyone keen on astronomy, on a clear night, the garden is ideal for watching the stars, as there is absolutely no light pollution! If you wish to walk into town, we recommend taking a torch for those late evening returns
