The sea is on your door step with easy access to the water on one side of the pier and rock pools which offer a great deal of enjoyment to childeren on the other. There is a much longer streach of beach less than 10 minutes walk away.
The water is usually calm in the morning and the wind picks up in the afternoon when the windsurfers come out in force in the channel between the mainland and the island.
The water is safe, crystal clear with no strong currents or waves, almost like a lake.
