The Guest House is a renovated Chicago three flat that retains a scant few exterior features from its construction in 1890, which was a part of the resurgence of new construction across the city following the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. It is a peaceful and luxurious retreat in the midst of lively city life, in a neighborhood of beautiful century-old homes and mansions.

Nightly accommodations offered at this primo location overlooking DePaul University and within walking distance of the Lincoln Park Zoo, Steppenwolf Theatre, and the shopping mecca that is Armitage and Halsted.

The spacious guest room features a two-story cathedral ceiling with skylight, and overlooks a Japanese weeping cherry tree--offering a bucolic scene in an urban center. The king bed is upholstered in leather, fitted with a memory foam pillow top mattress, and dressed in premium Vera Wang linens. The room has a double closet with full-length mirrors and private bath.

Fantastic sightseeing abounds in this residential neighborhood that blends the old, new and über-nouveau. It is centrally located with easy transportation to The Loop, Millennium Park, and Magnificent Mile—all minutes away by taxi or El train.

Check in by appointment, generally between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

One night's rate required as deposit to hold reservation. We accept payment via all major credit cards or personal checks. Minimum two-night stay on weekends. Deposit refundable with exception of cancellation fee of $25, if canceled up to 14 days prior to arrival date.
