The Topanga Canyon Inn is a private, luxury B&B; adjacent to Topanga State Park in the Santa Monica Mountains just up the hill from Malibu. Each of the four rooms are unique and are inspired by the great romantic, legendary couples of Hollywood.
One of only two Bed and Breakfasts in the Topanga-Malibu region, The Topanga Canyon Inn is a private, discreet and luxurious getaway in the Santa Monicas, the mountains that divide the City of Los Angeles into two sections, the L.A. Basin and the San Fernando Valley.
Surrounded further by Topanga State Park and located on a private road, this former celebrity home of movie stars and fashion models (and yes, we will tell you whom, with all the juicy stories, but still discreet) is in a quiet, serene country setting and yet is only fifteen minutes to the beaches of Malibu/Topanga/Santa Monica to the south or Tiffany & Company and several up, up, upscale, malls to the north. Beverly Hills is just over the hill and Malibu is just down the hill. Hollywood is just down the road. Fine dining and attractions, too numerous to mention, are everywhere. If you are staying in L.A., this is the place to be.
Your hosts are Warren and Elena Roché. Warren is a retired studio musician who took up a second career as a builder. He designed and built the Topanga Canyon Inn. Elena is an artist with an international reputation for extraordinary floral watercolors. She works in all mediums and paints a wide variety of subjects. Her paintings, including many local plein air scenes in oil, grace the walls of the Inn and are available for purchase. The Inn doubles as one of her gallery outlets and she is available for lessons during your stay.
All of the generous-sized rooms have either private or en suite baths. There is a sitting room/library with fireplace. Refreshments are always available. Some pets can be accommodated, just ask. Free parking is provided. If you like to mountain bike, you have come to the right place. Bring your bike. If you like to hike, a free Park entrance is 1/4 mile away.
