Located in beautiful Sonoma County in old West Petaluma, my vintage two bedroom Craftsman-style penthouse is 5 blocks from the center of old downtown Petaluma, where all the scenes from “American Graffiti” were filmed. A 3 minute walk from this quiet neighborhood brings you to a specialty supermarket, gourmet restaurants, old-time pubs, quaint shops & boutiques, 2 theaters, a movie palace, and a community pool. A library, several parks, walking/biking trails and much more, are all nearby.

Sonoma County offers an incredible variety of things to do and places to see, and this home is smack in the center of it all. The City of San Francisco is 50 minutes away, the gorgeous Sonoma Coast 25 minutes, the world-class Wine Country 15 minutes, the Russian River 40 minutes. World-famous wine tasting, antiquing, hiking, biking, kayaking, surfing, fishing and much more, are minutes away.

The home is a comfortable 2nd story, 2-bedrooms with a sunroom, comfortable furnishings, including a sofabed in the Living room and an over-sized claw-foot "soaker" tub in the bath. A 50” TV in the living room and a 42” HDTV in the Master bedroom address the needs of the most ardent couch potato. The modern, well-equipped “Caribbean” kitchen, filled with cooking appliances and gear (cooking is one of my passions) has ample tile and chopping-block counters and is wonderful for preparing gourmet meals with the plethora of local fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses and wines from this bountiful area. Washer and Dryer are included and maid service is available for the totally laid-back inclined.

The large yard off the kitchen, with outdoor furniture, huge gourmet BBQ island with rotisserie, and brick paver patio is perfect for dining and entertaining al fresco. There is a wisteria arbor w/ hammock chairs and seating and separate tables underneath to accommodate a dozen or more guests (Caterers are available). Nestled under mature trees filled with birds, the garden is filled with flowers, vegetables in season and replete with a Wisteria Arbor, multiple hammocks and a Bougainvillea Trellis which wraps the front of the house to 12’ in height, all of which add to the charm of this unique rental.

The house is available for long-term rental year round and for shorter rentals during the course of the year. Dates are flexible. The long-term rent (30 days or more) is $2000 per month and includes all utilities, Premium Satellite TV and high-speed wireless internet access. A security deposit of $2500 is required.
