Ten minutes from the southern portion of beautiful Lake Champlain, 30 miles from the summertime hot spot of Lake George, New York (Six Flags!), and 45 miles from Okemo Mountain Ski Resort in Vermont, this lakeside Adirondack vacation rental, located on the border of New York and Vermont, is perfect for hunters, ski bums, fishermen, families, or for a romantic getaway.

TWENTY-SIX STEPS bring you down to the quiet, cozy lakefront home with a sizeable yard, nice-sized deck, three bedrooms (one queen, one full, three twins) and two baths. It is situated on a quiet, well-maintained road. Canoe, rowboat, "pedal" boat, or fish in the private lake with the picturesque mountain as a backdrop or just sit on the community dock and enjoy the view. (Please note: motorized boats are not allowed on this lake. Sorry...)

Nearby towns play host to many events, such as Americade, the World's Largest Yard Sale, the Adirondack (hot air) Balloon Festival, weekly fireworks and boat cruises on Lake George, cave exploring, waterfalls, and much more!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT IS YOUR RATE?
During June, July, August, September:
$1500 per week, minimum one-week stay, plus $500 deposit.

Off-season:
$500 per week plus damage $300 deposit returable via PayPal after check-out inspection.

PHOTO ID AND SIGNED LEASE AGREEMENT REQUIRED.

CAN WE SWIM IN THE LAKE?
Yes! It's very clean. Bring your snorkel equipment! We also have a canoe, a row boat, a "pedal" boat, and life jackets for children (50-90 lbs.)and adults. SWIM AND USE OUR EQUIPMENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

HOW CLOSE IS THE WATER?
It is down the hill, which is good if you have children because they can't wander right out the door and into the water. (Please note: the deck has locking gates to help keep smaller children safe. For example, a child in a walker.)

IS THERE A TELEPHONE?
Yes, with unlimited free calling within the domestic U.S.

IS THERE A TV?
There is NO CABLE OR TV-WATCHING PER SE. There is, however, a 26" flat screen TV for DVD viewing, allowing guests to get back to the basics and unwind…playing darts, poker, board games, having drinks with friends, listening to music, canoeing, fishing, and roasting marshmallows around a crackling fire underneath a starry sky.

HOW CLOSE ARE GROCERY STORES AND RESTAURANTS?
The closest town is about five miles away; there are several little towns in both New York and in around-the-corner Vermont. (The nearest movie theater is 30 miles away in Rutland, Vermont.)

HOW FAR IS IT FROM...?
From NYC: A little over four hours.
From Niagara Falls and the Canadian border: About 4-1/2 hours.

CAN WE BRING OUR PET?
I am sorry but we do not allow pets. Please be considerate and don't ask us to make exceptions because we will not.

HOW CLOSE IS GOOD HIKING?
The Bomoseen Trails, an 8-mile hiking loop, is 11 miles away in Hydeville, VT. They also have shorter trails. (The Vermont state line is about five miles from the house.) Visit a Web page called wildernet for information on this hiking trail.

$500 per week, no pro-rates, plus $300 security deposit. Lease, photo ID, no pets so please don't ask.

Arrival Times

Check-in Saturday noon / check-out Saturday noon. Late arrival/check-out possible if no other renters.
