AREA SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS
Shopping and restaurants are within minutes from the condo. There is a cute beach cafe across the street that has great lunches and dinners. There is also a convenience store within walking distance for last minute necessities.
Jensen Beach is only 5 minutes across the causeway bridge.
The downtown area is very quaint and casual with some incredible restaurants. 11 Maple Street is my favorite, but Mulligans is fun for cocktails and appetizers. There are several others (Crawdaddy's and Rodneys) up the street that are also very good. There is a Kilwins for icecream in this same section. Publix is right up the street for all of your grocery needs and if you prefer not to come into town, there is also a Publix on the island. Drive another 5-7 minutes west and you will be at Treasure Coast Square which is our mall (Dillards, Macy's, Sears, Penny's) and all of the specialty shops. Surrounding the mall is Panera Bread Company, Best Buy, Target, Marshalls, and Home Depot. There are many restaurants in this same area.
DOWNTOWN STUART-
Traveling west on A1A for 15 minutes brings you to downtown Stuart, a restored downtown area with galleries, restaurants and specialty shops. This is another great place to check out for dining and shopping.
THREE FUN WATERFRONT RESTAURANTS-
COUCHY JOES- just over the Jensen Causeway- then turn right on Indian River Drive and it is just on your right. Great counch chower and fun to go to look out at the Intracoastal Waterway.
FINZ- South Stuart located off of Dixie Hwy-overlooks The Manatee Pocket where many of the sports fish boats are kept. You can even go here by boat.
SHRIMPERS- Just across the canal from FINZ. More on the casual dining line then FINZ, but great food! Order the crunchy grouper!
ABOUT THE BEACH-
Martin and St Luice County are home to some of the prettiest beaches. I love it when the water is crystal clear and blue green! We have provided beach chairs and beach towels, so you need not bring them along. There is also plenty of lounge chair seating if you prefer to sun around one of the pools.
FISHING
Surf fishing is a favorite past time for many. You can catch whiting (yum!), croakers, snapper, snook (only in season)and blues. There is a fish station on the far south gazebo platform to clean them. Please clean up afterwards.
There is nothing like FRESH FISH FOR DINNER!
You can also fish off the causeways in the beautiful new parks.
PARKS- We have many beautiful parks in the area. In Jensen there is a pretty park on the Indian River called Riverside Park. A great place to walk or let your grandchildren run through the jumping waters fountain.
SHEPPARD PARK-STUART - Great place for sunsets
FLAGLER PARK-STUART - Underneath the bridge-BBQ grills, playground equipment and a boardwalk
Check out The Pelican Cafe- great for breakfast and lunch- overlooks The St Lucie River
