Razay Holiday Cottages - 3 beautiful self-catering cottages in the Loire Valley. Our 15-acre property has a well-stocked Carp fishing lake and Quad-bike hire for use in our fields and woods. About 40kms east of Tours and 15 minutes from Chenonceau.

More details and photos can be found on our website at www.razay.com. About 40kms east of Tours and 15 minutes from the famous château de Chenonceau. Montrichard and Loches are close by. Futuroscope is a 90 min drive. The local area has a wealth of wildlife and many quiet lanes and woods begging to be explored.
Our 15-acre property has a well-stocked Carp fishing lake and Quad-bike hire for use in our fields and woods. Other facilities on-site include an indoor badminton hall, a well-equipped fitness suite, swimming pool, table tennis, bicycles, children’s play equipment, laundry room, large gardens and barbecues. Local amenities: golf, horse-riding, tennis, jet-skiing, canoeing.

Accommodation includes:
Cottages: Each has 3 bedrooms (one with superking size bed), shower room, large living/dining room, kitchen, wood-burning stove, private garden, barbecue.
Stables: 5 bedrooms (one with kingsize bed), 2 shower rooms, large kitchen/dining room/living room, private garden, barbecue.

The Loire Valley is renowned for its historic Chateaux, one of the most famous being Chenonceaux which is a mere 12 kms away. The medieval Chateau de Montpoupon is even closer about, a 15 minute walk away, with its museum of hunting and ancient kitchens. Loches, Amboise (wonderful Sunday market) and Blois are all within an easy car drive. Probably the best zoo in France, at St Aignan, is an easy 15 minute drive away. There are some excellent golf courses within an hours drive. Other activities available in the local area include horse riding, tennis, jet-skiing, paintballing and canoeing. The area abounds with vineyards and wine producers many of whom offer tastings and sell direct to the public. The local area produces some excellent cabernet and gamay red wines whilst the town of Montrichard is well known for its production of red and sparkling white wines. The world reknowned Appelation Controlé of Vouvray is within a 40 minute drive. Montrichard offers “beach” facilities on the River Cher with a children’s playground, public tennis courts and boating. Montrichard and most other local towns have indoor and outdoor swimming pools and at least one and often two market days. The countryside is gently rolling making it very interesting for touring especially, in our opinion, by bicycle where the quiet roads and villages can be explored and as you would expect you will find a wide variety of cafes and restaurants.
