Property Description

Rock Cottage is a picturesque and romantic family owned property standing alone on the Mawgan Creek of the Helford River in an AONB. The view from the property is magnificent and totally unspoilt. A sturdy rowing dinghy is provided for our guests.

Property Details

The property has full central heating by radiators in all rooms and is ideal for any time of year. Every room enjoys either a garden or river view. The view is unique to Rock Cottage and there are no neighbours or owners to spoil your privacy.

The property stands within over two thirds of an acre of terraced garden, and leads to a jetty and rocky foreshore where the dinghy is moored. Many guests enjoy fishing from either the jetty or boat, and children love to dangle lines for river crabs. The Helford River is tidal and an abundance of waders appear when the mudflats are exposed. The bird table in the garden is visited by over 30 species of birds.

Rental Policy

Rock Cottage can only accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children at any one time
Strictly No Smoking property

Rental is fully inclusive of Electricity, CH Oil, Bed Linen, Bath & Hand Towels, Bathrobes, all Householed Essentials provided and unlimited use of Rowing Dinghy (Lifejackets also). There are no extra charges! All fortnightly stays receive a cleaning service and change of linen at no extra cost.

Arrival Times

Changeover day is a Saturday and arrival is any time after 1500 hours. For Short Breaks, the arrival day is to suit.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

A deposit of one third of the total rent is required at the time of booking.

From 4th October up to Easter 2009, a 10% discount is given when there are only two persons staying at Rock Cottage. This offer does not apply to Short Breaks.

Minimum stay is 3 nights for a Short Break - which is available from November until March 2009.
