This penthouse condo at Arena Blanca has the WOW! factor down to perfection: thirteen foot ceilings, marble floors, handmade cabinets, and a natural stone wall big enough to climb!
The living room, dining room, and kitchen are connected seamlessly into one “great room”. The kitchen is worthy of any Mexican mamasita. (Not that you’ll be cookin’ up a pozole or hot tamale with so many great restaurants nearby.) You will love the gorgeous handmade latilla cabinets made by local Yucatecan craftsman. The Caribbean Tortuga (turtle) colored marble on the countertops adds richness and a reminder of the beauty of nature in this area. The dining room seats eight comfortably for a formal dinner or casual breakfast.
The living room features a large lounging and seating area adjacent to a huge covered terrace that overlooks 38th Street. The design focal point is a full wall of conchuella venado, a beautiful deer-colored limestone from the Yucatan.
The master suite features a brick boveda ceiling and a queen-sized wicker bed that resembles a wing-back chair, and a large bathroom with double sinks and a huge shower.
The guest room has a queen-sized bed with a private full bathroom. To provide extra sleeping space, we added a sleeping loft with a queen-sized bed.
The coup de grace is a large shaded rooftop terrazzo that overlooks the city of Playa del Carmen and the Caribbean Sea. Hot in the day with cool breezes at night, the terrace provides a nice private space to read, sleep, and renew your love for life or your love life, or both. Felicidades!
