Come and stay in our house in the country!
You can swim in the river, fish, walk in the woods, ride our mountain bikes, roast marshmallows on a campfire, have a barbeque on the deck and eat dinner under the stars. All this without getting in the car! 40 minutes from Belleayre or Hunter.

We have 2 acres on the side of the Rondout Creek on a private, dirt lane only 2 hrs from New York City. You’ll have plenty of privacy and everything you need to have a very enjoyable vacation but you won’t be out all by yourself in the middle of nowhere.

We’re on the side of the Rondout Creek, in the foothills of Mohonk Mountain. You can drive fifteen minutes to the quaint villages of High Falls, Rosendale or New Paltz to go shopping, or explore the back roads of the Hudson Valley. It’s only a short drive to the Catskill National Forest for more adventures.

Or just hang out at home in front of the cozy fireplace, play darts, board games, ping pong, read or watch movies. Or why not cook a delicious gourmet dinner in our fully equipped kitchen. We guarantee you won’t be bored.

With the huge picture window overlooking the river, you could easily spend your entire stay looking out the window, but do get out for some fresh air, and explore.

For a touch of local history, the house sits on the towpath of the historic D&H; Canal. The canal stretched 108 miles from the Delaware River to the Hudson River. There are plenty of stories to tell of the 80 years it was used.

From 1828 to 1898, mules pulled barges laden with coal, cement, bluestone and other valuable commodities back and forth along the Rondout Creek through the villages of Alligerville, High Falls, Rosendale and on to Kingston. From there, the barges traveled down the Hudson River to New York City and up to Canada. Most of the sidewalks in New York City during that period came from right here in the Rondout Creek valley and other nearby areas. As you reach our driveway, you’ll see remains of the dry dock and boat yard of lock 21 of the D&H; canal.
