It is my pleasure to announce that the new luxurious five star Weligama Bay Resort will be finally inaugurated in February 2008. The resort will feature 24 rooms, bungalows, villas, suites, large garden, Bawana spa, meeting room, Coffee & Tea Lounge, waterfront restaurant with the cocktail bar, swimming pool with Jacuzzi and much more. Location
The newly built resort is located on the beachside in the middle of beautiful Weligama Bay, on the border of Weligama town and Pelena village. This convenient and safe location on the southern tip of Sri Lanka, between the historical port town of Galle and the provincial centre Matara, provides you with the opportunity to visit many nearby places of interest such as the ancient Galle Fort, the amazing Sinharaja Rainforest, exploring the Yala or Bundala Safaris or simply just sailing in the Weligama Bay.
