Hotel La Tranquilidad is beachfront on the Central Pacific Coast island of Palo Seco at Parrita, between Jaco and Quepos/Manuel Antonio.The estuary behind the rental flows in and out with the ocean tides. Awesome mountains are only 30 minutes away.

Property Details

This tropical island paradise features fine sand, calming surf, gentle breezes, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The beach is wonderful for fishing, surfing, sunbathing, biking, walking, shelling, or just chilling in a hammock. There is boat access to the estuary at the back of Hotel La Tranquilidad. Snook and red snapper abound, and the ancient mangrove trees provide many ecotour opportunities. Enjoy the quiet, relaxing character of Costa Rica's natural environment at Hotel La Tranquilidad.

The vacation rental retreat is gated and surrounded by a white rail fence with green diamonds. The onsite caretaker and the night guard maintain the security of the property. Each large hotel room has hot water in the private bath, tile flooring, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and covered tile porch with hammock. One room has 1 double bed. The other two rooms have 2 double beds and 2 single beds, bunked. The fully-equipped kitchen and open-air dining terraza are located in an adjacent building.

In addition, a vacation home, Casa Tranquila, has a double bed and 2 single beds in the bedroom, plus 2 single beds, bunked, in the sunroom. It has hot water shower, 1 1/2 baths, tile flooring, air conditioning, ceiling fans, automatic washer, and fully-equipped private kitchen.

Two swimming pools are centered on the property.The small round pool has a bench for relaxing and enjoying a cool beverage, or for children to play. The larger rectangular pool is for swimming a few laps, floats, pool volleyball or basketball. The oceanside recreational rancho has a billiard table, foosball table, darts, hammocks, and lounge chairs. Bicycles and bocce are available for guests. Beach chairs, beach towels, hammocks, and volleyball are there for guests to use on the wide sandy beach right out front.

For the adventurous there is much to see and do beyond the tranquility of the beach homes. Manuel Antonio National Park is about 40 minutes south. Sportfishing, mangrove monkey tours, zip-line canopy tours, caving, butterfly farms, bird watching, horseback riding, four wheeler tours, rafting, paramotoring, kayaking, nightlife, and more are available nearby. Mountains and rain forests are waiting to be explored. Endangered giant sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs every year. The onsite property manager will be happy to advise and arrange tours for guests.

For the most immediated needs, Parrita is only 10 minutes away. Parrita has banks, supermarkets, restaurants, shopping, and a medical clinic.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

Hotel rooms and/or the house can be rented daily or weekly. Rooms can be combined with the house for total capacity of 20. Christmas Season begins Dec 18 until Jan 1, 2011. Inquire for special needs. Rates can be changed without notice until confirmed & vary by season. 50% deposit secures a reservation. Balance is due 30 days before arrival. Credit cards are accepted through Google Checkout.
