This 4-season private cottage is located on beautiful Norcan Lake and 12 minutes from Calabogie Peaks ski and golf area. Hiking and cross-country skiing are at your doorstep. The Stone cottage has all modern amenities including wireless internet.

Property Details

The 3-bedroom winterized cottage has a nice blend of modern amenities and antiques. There is excellent fishing in season for bass, walleye and pike. For naturalists the wildlife is amazing. Deer, moose, wolves, raccoons, otters, muskrats, chipmunks and red squirrels all frequent the area. Birders will enjoy the many hummingbirds, grosbeaks, sparrows, finches, warblers, ducks, eagles, hawks, partridge, wild turkey and herons. Please see our web site for some beautiful photographs, many taken by our guests. The safe sandy beach is great for building sandcastles, wading and swimming. Complimentary use of badminton sets, volleyball, horseshoes, two paddleboats and a canoe is provided. Boat rentals are available. Arrangements can be made to have your cottage stocked in advance of your arrival with basic food and beverages, for your added convenience.

The eat-in kitchen has a full-sized fridge and stove, and is supplied with all your cooking needs such as microwave, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The large living room complete with a fireplace, opens onto a huge screened-in porch. The porch has a beautiful view of Norcan Lake. The master bedroom has a fireplace, king-sized bed and a bow window looking over the lake. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. The main bathroom offers a Jacuzzi bath to relax in after a day spent exploring the great outdoors or fishing on the lake.

The Stone cottage was named for the beautiful fieldstone work that makes up most of the building. The screened in porch faces directly onto the lake. Part of the charm of this cottage is the "hidden" garden. This is an English-style garden that wedding parties, honeymooners and romantics of all kinds enjoy being photographed in front of. A propane BBQ is at the back door.
