Willow Point Beach House was the first building to be built on the Kootenay lake. It was initially a farm, then a shop and garage lastly a B&B.; The old packing shed on the property was used to pack up and can the fruit from the surrounding orchards. Later converted into a home for the shop owners. The main building was burnt down in 1953 and rebuilt to accommodate a larger shop.
The sheriff of Nelson bought the property in the 60,s he added the upper floor and turned the shop into a home. Later into a B&B.; The present owners have since renovated it to modern standards.
The suites are separate to the owners accommodation with their own entrance and patio deck.
