Tivives is a very private community located at the "end of the road"; there is NO public access to the ocean on this 2+ kilometer gray sand beach. The south end of the beach borders a wildlife reserve; therefore, scarlet macaws, toucans and other birds and wildlife can be seen in the trees and nearby.
Sunset House features a new 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home, a 6 stool at the bar overlook the ocean, the bar is equipped with a gas BBQ, a 4 burner gas cooktop and wet sink, the dining room table seats 10 persons in comfort and the living room is designed for relaxing, conversation and reading, the all modern kitchen and great room has all new appliances and satellite TV, the swimming pool is located conveniently in front of the ocean, and there is an outside shower to shower off after that jog on the beach.
Sunrise is most enjoyable watching all the animals come to life; and you will enjoy a cruise ship arriving for its day in port at Puerto Caldera or Puntarenas. Sunsets over the Pacific are spectacular and is a very special time of day to enjoy a cocktail at the bar, as darkness falls you again can enjoy the lights of the cruise ships as they depart Costa Rica.
The home will sleep up to 10 persons on 2 double beds and 6 single beds. 2 of the single beds are pull out trundle type beds.
Playa Tivives is located 1 ½ hours from the Juan Santamaria International Airport and about 20 minutes south of Puerto Caldera.
When you arrive at Sunset House please bring with you all the food and drink that you will want during your stay at the beach. The grocery store is NOT next door, although the ice cream vendor comes by twice per day selling your favorite frozen treats, and the seafood salesman will stop by a couple of times a week to let you know what the freshest catch is.
