Slickrock Adventures operates a water sports center at a private island. We offer sea kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, kayak surfing, fishing, kayak fishing, stand-up surfing, and board surfing (not to mention hammock surfing!)

When we first moved to Glover's Reef in 1992 our goal was to create a facility that feels non-developed. Obviously if you build a building, that’s some level of development. But throughout the Caribbean there are very few facilities that are rustic by design. On Long Caye, development means fifteen cabanas, a well-stocked kitchen, solar-powered water pumps, a composting toilet, three dozen sea kayaks, a bunch of sailboards and surf kayaks, and a dive shop (the only thing not owned by Slickrock). There is no air conditioning, no maid service, no flush toilets. But we have a fridge permanently loaded with Fantas and Belikin beer. It’s the best in adventure travel — right down to the excellent Garifuna chefs who cook your meal and then sit down with you to dine.

Depending on your experience, our Water Sports Center is either the cushiest camp or the most rustic resort you have seen. We keep the island in a natural state, and there is no standard electricity or plumbing. Two-person cabanas are perched above the surf, and the ever-present breeze keeps the temperatures well below what they are on the mainland. Each cabana has single or double beds, a solar-powered light, and a porch with hammocks and lounge chairs. Our dining hall features solar-and wind-powered lights and music, propane stove and refrigerator (for cold beer and soda!), and our extensive library. We drink collected rainwater, and we bathe with well water pumped by the sun (not heated, the showers are about 750). Composting toilets complete this ecologically-friendly set-up. Our spacious island (13.5 acres) and rustic facilities ensure your comfort without compromising the adventure of living on an undeveloped and uncrowded island. Rental Policy

All of our prices are per person because we are selling a package, not just a room in a hotel. Our packages include hotels on the mainland before and after the Full Week island trip, transport to and from the island, lodging on the island, 3 meals/day, unlimited beer and soda, and complete use of our sports equipment, instruction in all sports, and daily guided activities all day long.

Packages begin Fridays and Wednesdays in Belize City

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

Slickrock's trips are all-inclusive. Rates are for a 4 night package ($1050 pp), a 5 night package ($1295 pp), or a 9 night package ($1975 pp). Deposits to confirm spaces are $450 pp.
