From the moment that you enter this mountain home you feel as though you have come home. Start winding down the minute that you step through the door. A river-rock fireplace greets you as you walk into the living room. Ten-foot-high picture windows encourage you to sit by the fire, relax, and take in the views. Step up to hardwood hickory floors, gourmet kitchen, log and rock accents, a large pine dining room table that seats eight,custom breakfast bar seats 2 and a mother-in-law room that adds a second full kitchen and a foosball table.
Walk to beautiful meadows and see beaver dams on the Upper Truckee River. Hike along the river shore or fish and bring home native brown trout for dinner. For the more adventurous, hop on your mountain bike and choose from several single track trails such as "Mr. Toad's wild ride, Round Lake trail, Hawley Grade, or The Tahoe Rim Trail." Snowshoe or cross-country ski in the open meadow around the corner. Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Sierra Ski Lodges just minutes away.

Notice to all arrivals this form must be completed, signed and returned prior to receiving the lock box combination for the keys.
Arrival and Departure Times: Check-in time is 3:00 pm and checkout is 11:00 am
Keys: Keys are in a lock box on the front door and upon receipt of final payment you will be given the combination to the lock box.
Check-out Procedures:
1. Place keys on kitchen table (2 sets)
2. Place all trash in cans in garage
3. Place all dishes in the dishwasher
4. Place all bath linen in a pile near the washer
5. Leave beds unmade on last day
6. Lock all doors and windows
7. Make sure the spa cover is closed and locked.
8. Have a safe trip home
Maximum Occupancy: No more than twelve (12) persons (STATE MANDATE 5.56.100)
Missing or Damaged Items: We clean and inventory after each stay. Missing or damaged items (including linen) will be replaced at your expense and charged to your credit card.
Telephone: The telephone is for local calls only. The number for the house is (530) 577-5634. Cell phone reception is poor in Christmas Valley so we suggest a calling card for long distance calls.
Hot Tub: Do not remove the floating chlorinator from the hot tub
- Temperature is maintained between 102°- 104°.
- Children should be accompanied by an adult.
- Pregnant mothers should not use.
- We recommend bathing prior to use to wash off any excess lotion or oils
- Do not use if water becomes cloudy, as it does with heavy use. Please contact us immediately so that chemicals can be added to alleviate the problem (775) 265-0534 or (530) 318-1685.
- Spa use is at your own risk. Please use it responsibly.
No Smoking: Please do not smoke in the house or garage.
Slippery Conditions/Ice: These conditions may exist on paths, driveways, and decks. Please use extreme caution.
Hot Water Usage: Large Parties should try to limit showers to ten (10) minutes to help conserve hot water for other people in your party to take showers. The home has a standard large home water heater.
Parking: ( 4 CARS MAX) Two (2) cars may be parked in the garage, (2) on the right side of the driveway. We recommend parking in the garage in the winter to keep the driveway clear for our snow removal service. Please be prepared to move your cars for the snow removal service. No cars are allowed on the street on snow removal days. (5.56.110)
Pets: No pets are allowed. Evidence of a pet found in the home is grounds for immediate eviction and no refund of rent. You will be charged the cost of steam cleaning the carpets and for any damages caused by the pet.
Payments: Fifty percent (50%) of the total balance is due at the time of the reservation. The remaining balance is due thirty (30) days prior to your arrival. Payments include the nightly charge, cleaning fee of one hundred ($105), and a county occupancy tax of ten percent (10%). $400.00 minimum deposit will be authorized on your credit card for any incidental damages.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to your arrival there is a $100.00 fee. Cancellations made 90-31 days prior to your arrival there is a 50% fee. NO REFUNDS will be issued for cancellations made less than thirty (30) days for any reasons.
Credit Card: A credit card number must be on file and will be pre-authorized for the refundable deposit two (2) weeks prior to your stay, to insure payment due to damages, vandalism, or theft.
Noise: Please be courteous and respectful of our neighbors.
- Keep music volume to a reasonably low level
- No musicians or entertainment outside
- No yelling or loud activity in the street
- We do not allow weddings, receptions, or large parties of any kind
Fines: If the police department is called, come to the house, and file a “substantiated disturbance report”, an additional five hundred dollars ($500) will be charged to your credit card. We want you to enjoy your stay but be considerate of our home and our neighbors. (STATE MANDATED 5.56.120)
Wildlife: Please be aware that Tahoe is located in the mountains and has wildlife such as bears, coyotes, and mountain lions. As a precaution please do not leave trash and/or food outside and do not leave children unattended.
I have read and understood this entire contract and agree that I am responsible for all of the above rules. I authorize, understand and agree that “Tahoe Wolf’s Den” will charge my credit card for any damage, missing items, or extra cleaning to the house or outside yard. I agree to be responsible for all damages caused by my party.
