Tastefully renovated, spacious self-catering holiday house in the picturesque village of St Germain les Belles, Haute-Vienne, Limousin – “the land of a thousand lakes”. Accommodates up to 14 persons within 6 bedrooms, 5 with ensuite bathrooms. Large, private garden with dining terrace and beautiful rural views. Step out of the front door and discover local shops, the swimming lake / sandy beach and peaceful countryside walks. Ground-floor wheelchair access and free wifi internet connection.

This 6 bedroom, recently renovated spacious village house can welcome up to 14 guests and is the perfect place to stay for groups, families or friends. For guests who use a wheelchair, we have a ground-floor accessible bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, lounge, terrace and garden.

All bedrooms are tastefully furnished, with original wood flooring. There are a total of 13 beds, plus 2 folding campbeds and 3 baby cots. All of the beds are singles (or we can put them together to make ‘doubles’), making sleeping arrangements really easy for mixed groups of friends and families.

Five of the bedrooms have brand new, private ensuite bathrooms / shower-rooms. We also provide many ‘bulky’ items to make holidaying with young children easier e.g. baby cots, high chairs, cutlery, baby swing, toys, changing mat and table.

The cosy lounge has satellite television, DVD (plus large collection of films), 2 double sofa beds and free wifi internet connection. The french windows ensure more lovely views of the open countryside at the rear of the house.

The well-equipped kitchen adjoins the lounge and was designed with large groups in mind . There is a big kitchen table, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, gas cooker, toaster, together with cupboards full of crockery and cooking utensils.

Step outside...

Although the house is in the heart of a village with shops and restaurants, you will have the best of both worlds. Once you step out of the back door, the peaceful views of open countryside really make you feel that you are in a completely rural location.

The attractive terrace is a wonderful location for a cool, relaxing drink on a warm evening. There is also an enormous barbecue for alfresco dining! There are reclining seats, 2 large dining tables / benches and even a parasol if you need some more shade. The terrace leads out onto the large, private and family-friendly garden lawn and is a great spot for watching wild birds!

The open plan kitchen, living room is perfect for family life and the transformation of one of the downstairs rooms into a playroom was a big hit with our two young children! Outside the garden was great for soaking up some rays and a safe place for our kids to explore. The organic vegetables were a lovely addition and the owners were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. St Germaine les Belles is a sleepy little town with a few shops which cater for everyday needs and a great swimming lake and park nearby. We fell in love with the area and really enjoyed visits to Mount Gargan, Lake Vassiviere and Limoges. Highly recommended! "
