Staying at Luigi's appartment was like staying home in the incredible setting of Florence. The flat is impecable, carefuly furnished in a simple, comfortable and modern style, exelent taste in decoration and an abundance of details that really makes you feel like home. The kitchen is over-equiped, as you can find plenty of dishes, pots and nice tools to work of excelent quality.
Meeting Luigi is a plus to the experience: first time a host takes time to have a coffee, show the neighborhood, have a nice chat and help with all the arriving and leaving details. A great companion and help, providing small but significant details to make the stay more pleasant. (Even shipping to Mexico our forgotten items) The neighborhood can't be better: close to the best attractions in Florence, plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and curiosities, in a quiet street around a block from the market, where we had an excelent lunch at the trattoria, and bought great products to cook at the appartment. We had a great stay and will be looking forward to repeat it, but with a longer stay. The place worth it. |

| This was a wonderful accommodation in Florence, located in the middle of things but still on a narrow quiet street with no tourists and virtually no cars. Thus it was extremely quiet and within walking distance of everything and the nearby shops were filled with locals, not tourists. We tried all of Luigi's recommendations for restaurants in the area, and they were wonderful. The flat is extremely well furnished there was actually an overabundance of dishes, silver, towels, soap, shampoo, and so forth we needed nothing. The local market is a couple of blocks away, and the Standa grocery store is around the corner (with glorious cafes and pastry shops one minute away), so food is very easily handled if you want to eat in. Being a couple of flights up on the top floor is not a problem at all. The flat warmed up during the late June days, but the air conditioning was extremely effective. I expected a high surcharge for the use of electricity, but Luigi's very low estimates were correct. The two baths and two bedrooms suited us three perfectly. One bedroom looks out on the (quiet) street and the other on the typical Italian courtyard, with drying laundry festooning the windows and the murmur of spoken Italian in the background. Perhaps my positive response is conditioned by my absolute love for Florence and the Florentines, but this is a great place to stay and I hope to return before long. One note of caution: don't believe the locals when they say Vivoli's gelato is not what it used to be it is still the best! And spend a leisurely mealtime at Verrazzano, 18/20r via dei Tavolini:beautiful surroundings, exquisite food. | |

so we are back at home and everybody has gone back to work as well. It has been a very short but again revarding trip to Florence and we feel very fortunate about having been able to spend it in your apartement. | Owner Luigi Rossi was quite friendly and helpful, speaks English, and was easy o contact and get assistance from when we reserved his apartment. He responds quickly. Locatiion is excellent, and walking distance to the main tourist attractions: main Cathedral, Sante Croce Piazza, Uffigi Gallery, the Academia (David's Michelangelo). Wehad already spent 6 days in Rome and 4 days in tuscany/Siena, so when we got to his apartment we wanted to do a lot more cooking to economize. The kitchen was somewhat cramped, but had all the appliances. Walking to the third floor was a little strenuous for one of us as we were all in our early '60s. There are two small bedrooms but the beds take most of the space. Apartment is just right for 4 persons, but will be too cramped for six adults. Temperature in the apartment was set by a thermostat to a comfortable 68 degrees. We would recommend the apartment for its good location, friendly and helpful owner, kitchen amenities. | |

| This apartment, and it's owner, are the best value in Europe. The apartment in right in the middle of everything one wants to see in Florence. It is spacious, clean, and an absolute value when compared to hotels. It has a full kitchen and is located 10 minutes from the market so you can easily cook if you so desire. I would definitely highly recommend. | |
