Paper presentation: A Strindbergian Foray into Ancient Greece: Hermione and Hellas, at the 3rd International Conference on Fine and Performing Arts in Athens, Greece, June 4-7, 2012.I imiagne the title is self-explanatory. I am dealing with 2 of his plays that (perhaps unfairly) do not get much attention on the stage in the United States. While Hellas has been translated into English, Hermione (to my knowledge) has not, so I'm also working on an English translation of that play.Also, in the fall, I will be directing the following at my university: A Strindberg Cafe: The Stronger and Mother Love September 21-23, 2012 (+ a possible touring date)Eastern Illinois UniversityCharleston, Illinois 61920 USA Mother Love is another one that does not often see staging on this side of the pond.
