| My husband and I spent one week of our honeymoon at the Casa Vermelha which was an exquisite escape in every regard. The house is nestled into the landscape in a totaly unobtrusive way, the gardens are gorgeous and well-attended filled with butterflies and little monkeys to entertain, the view from the veranda is breathtaking, and the architecture is stunning while not being ostentatious. We loved walking around the island, swimming off the rocks, and always looked forward to the boat ride over. We can't wait to return. | |

| My family and I spent 2 weeks on this island paradise. The house is so comfortable with all the amenities, the views are breath-taking, the ambience of the island is so relaxing, and I rate it a 5 star on all levels. | |

| I have stayed here twice and can't be superlative enough about the place. The architecture is magnificent from the approach by boat you see nothing but the subtle peaks of the roof peeking through the foliage, and once you arrive it feels almost like a furtive pleasure, all hidden away from plain sight. I have an unerasable memory of waking up at dawn in the bedroom slightly up the hill, stepping out onto the balcony and seeing the sky deep red above the bay. The first time I went I went with my girlfriend: very romantic. The second time I went with family, and the large deck was brilliant for long meals followed by hammock naps. The hot tub is a nice touch too. | |

| Absolutely fabulous! Better than the photos! Our family of four stayed recently and our only complaint was we couldn't stay longer. The rich deep red color of the house contrasted with the tropical trees and plants to give an air of mystery magical! And if you leave out bananas the night before you'll enjoy a show of monkeys while you breakfast on the balcony. A wonderful trip to Brazil and a wonderful place! | |

This is extraordinary place. I've stayed twice now and I can't wait to return. The house is a gem beautiful, comfortable, inventively designed and the setting otherworldly. Ilha Araujo is a tropical idyll, the view from the veranda overlooking the bay is superb, and the small beach is perfect for swimming. Housekeeper and other staff are attentive, warm, unobtrusive. 5 stars in every respect.
