| Family Reunion at Rosewood Pointe | |

| Dawn - Rosewood Pointe - All Houses/Cottages | |
| We held our four-day family reunion at Rosewood Pointe less than two weeks ago. I can't say enough wonderful things about this site. We rented all seven houses/cottages for our 67 or so relatives, and everyone loved it. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with hundreds of colorful flowers in bloom that were very well maintained the houses/cottages were spotlessly clean with modern appliances and there were loads of activities for children and adults alike (kayak, paddle boats, row boat, horseshoes, volleyball, swing sets, and toys for kids to play in the sand). It's ideal for family events involving kids, because they can play on the beach while parents monitor them from the decks of the houses/cottages. There is a very large grassy area between the houses and the beach, where we were able to play many games, such as kick ball, Whiffle Ball, Red Rover, etc., and where the kids were able to hold various races. Many of the kids crashed relatively early from all of the playing, fresh air and sunshine, leaving the parents to enjoy cocktails and s'mores by the campfire while the moon shone beautifully on Lake Macatawa (it looked like a postcard). Of all of the possible venues I researched in the Midwest (hundreds), Rosewood Pointe offered the most amenities at the best price. The bonus, however, was that the property was spectacularly beautiful, with loads of room and endless opportunities for family fun. In the early mornings we would see both black and gray squirrels searching for snack remains the kids may have dropped the day before (they scored big we had lots of kids), and late in the evening we twice saw a fox, either on or near the property. There were plenty of areas that offered shady places to sit and relax, and the beach offered unobstructed sunshine for tanning, building sand castles. and of course water balloon fights. Many of our family members either took the rowboat out or fished from the piers on the property, and they caught enough fish to fry up and serve at our big dinner on Saturday evening. Big fish, too! And they were delicious! I have a boatload of wonderful memories of our reunion at Rosewood Pointe, including hilarious rides with cousins on paddle boats and kayaks, that will stay with me forever. (I'm grinning now, just thinking of them.) I had one of the best times of my life at the reunion, and the success of our reunion was largely due to the perfection of the site. There's wireless internet service on the property, so many of our relatives were able to check on area attractions to visit and to check their emails when necessary. Also, the property manager(s) and maintenance people couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating, checking in with us everyday to make sure everything was going/working well for us. I will absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful lake retreat at which to have an event, no matter what the size. In fact, we have an annual weekend away for all of the over-21 women in our family (16-18 in all), and it's likely we'll rent Rosewood Pointe for our next one. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Can't wait to go back! | |

| I just wanted to tell you what a great time we had staying at the Retreat House on Oct. 10 and 11. My family is still talking about our stay and how much fun we had. The memories are priceless to us and we defiinately will be coming there again We were amazed at the beautiful setting and the landscape, it was just perfect. Of course it helped that the weather could not have been better. The house was so warm and inviting and it was equipped like no other we have rented before. We had our Thanksgiving dinner there and cooked two turkeys will all the trimming and never felt cramped or overwhelmed. We had 19 adults, 4 toddlers and a new baby ranging from age 2 months to 83 years old. Everyone was perfectly satisfied. We had plenty of things to do and places to be. It was a perfect weekend. We took over 400 pictures and each and every one is a priceless memory to us. Thank you for providing us with this wonderful home and all of it's charms. I just have one comment that I think the maintenance people should be aware of. The water was so hot we were afraid of using the showers. It was hot enough to burn someone if they were not careful. We were especially worried about the children. It was hard to adjust the tempeture, it was either way to hot or cold. I just thought someone should be aware of this. There was a maintenance guy there, but we were having so much fun we all forgot to tell him abut it. No big deal, it didn't hamper our good time at all, | |

We had an enjoyable stay at the Lakeview cottage over the weekend. It
was just what we needed with 3 granddaughters. The location was great for the activities they were involved in. The cottage was neat and clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the lake and especially the fire pit. I will certainly recommend Rosewood Pointe to everyone I know. We tried to leave the place in good shape and cleaned it before we left. I hope you found the rest of the sheets in the dryer. |

Brent, just touching base to comment on how beautiful the resort looks. We just had our girl-cousin gathering this past weekend and had a fantastic time. Everyone was amazed at the landscaping and all the nice touches in the Kiwi and cottage furnishings. From the kayaks and paddle boat. . . to the firewood you provide for bonfires . . . to the outdoor lighting . . . to the fully stocked kitchens . . . you don't miss a thing. Your resort is amazing. We're already looking forward to next year. I will not be the planner for 2008. My niece, Jamie Bey, will be taking over since I will be on a trip for a good part of the year. Jamie will be in touch with you after the first of the year to make the reservations. We are looking at the second weekend in October. Thanks again for providing the beautiful setting that makes our annual gathering such a great event. Sincerely, Carol |

| We really enjoyed our stay this last weekend. The grounds are well taken care of and the cottages are very well maintained. I think it is great that you provide entertainment (paddle boat, canoe, etc.) at no additional cost. I hope we have the opportunity to return! It is a great location for a family reunion or retreat! | |

Everyone had a great time this year again. All positive except you may
want to remove some of the rocks, bricks, etc on the volleyball court. We probably found about 10 pieces of stages of aggregate while we playing this year and they were all fairly close to the beach surface. We chucked them all under that tree/bush to the north of the court, near the fish sink. Other than that, all was good. We liked your improvements you made to the kitchen as well. The dishwasher was a plus as it avoided us buying a bunch of paper plates, plasticware, etc. |

Hi Brent,
I left a note in the cottage, but I just wanted to tell you again how much we enjoyed our stay at the Peace cottage last weekend. I honestly can't get over it ... everything was just perfect, but the beautiful setting on Lake Macatawa definitely had to be the highlight. Thinking about it makes me wish we were back there NOW! The only problem I can think of is, 3 days wasn't nearly long enough. Thank you again! We definitely plan to return someday ... hopefully very soon! Sincerely, Donna |

We are all back home with wonderful memories of our time at Rosewood Pointe Resort. It was a great place for a family reunion and you can rest assured that we will all be spreading the word about it!
Your grandfather was most helpful! He took care to give us an extra key for one of the homes we rented, saw that packages we mailed ahead of time were put in the house before we even arrived! And the staff there was great! My husband and I (being in charge) came part way down from the Upper Peninsula on Friday night and had thought the final drive would take 5 hours - it took less than 3! The staff was gracious enough to allow us to put some things in the fridge and then allow us to enjoy the beach area while they cleaned. We found both places to be very clean! One concern we had was in the Retreat House - the main fridge had some serious problems with water dripping inside the fridge. We mopped up water in the bottom of the fridge at least 3 times daily and the water also ran into the vegetable bins and meat bins. I also know that you said there would be no bath towels and we needed to bring our own - which we did. As a suggestion - I would also tell people to bring more kitchen towels. With a group the size that the Retreat House holds, the kitchen towels you provided were not near enough. I had brought some so we were fine but it might be a suggestion to future groups. The pie from Larry was great! - or so I heard as it was long gone by the time I went in to snitch a piece. Thank you. My husband and I left earlier than the others and there was some confusion about bath towels at the Peace House. I had brought a bucket of towels for those flying in, they were older ones and I wasn't worried about getting them back. I had told one family just to leave what we did not take. Well, not everyone heard that and my mother-in-law brought home two bath towels, cream colored, two hand towels, one blue, one cream, and two wash cloths. I believe they are mine but without seeing them I would have no way of knowing. Could you please check with your staff to see if by chance they belong to the resort and if they do she will ship them back. We also left two booster seats in the Peace House - use them if you can - and a larger mixer in the Retreat House - the same for that. Just didn't want you to think we had forgotten these things and would be looking for them. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation spot! Jil-Anne Essinger |
