We just stayed at this beautiful rental property on the Russian River for one week in mid-July. The location of this house is perfect because not only is it right on the picturesque Russian River, but it is also very central to all of the best attractions in the area. It was a quick drive to the towns of Guerneville, Duncan Mills, and Jenner and it is also close to all of the Winery's in the area.
The house itself is very charming and has a modern cabin feel to it. All of the upgrades and renovations that the owner has done to it over the years really add to it's charm. We LOVED the kitchen! It is fully stocked with brand new appliances and pretty much anything and everything you need for cooking. The outside BBQ is also very nice and convenient for cooking. The patio area was amazing and probably everyone's favorite part of the property! We spent most of our time outside on the patio enjoying the views of the river and the huge redwood trees that surround the property. The outdoor furniture is very comfortable and perfect for sunbathing during the day and star gazing at night. We also LOVED the hot tub and really had to drag ourselves out of it every night to go to bed! We also spent a lot of time on the river itself. The kayaks were such a nice luxury to have at the house! We used them almost everyday we were at there. There is a small 'island' in front of the house. We took the kayaks with our beach chairs and hung out on the island and enjoyed the sun and picking blackberries. Overall this house provides a perfect peaceful place for a relaxing vacation. We would love to come back and visit again and would definitely recommend it to friends. |
