All listings on VacationRentalDirect.com are assigned a quality score when the listing is created. The minimum quality score required to have the listing appear live on the site is 3. All listings are displayed according to the strength of the quality score. The listings with the highest quality score will be displayed first.
The quality score for your listing is displayed next to your property description on the main page of the control panel. Listed below are the current componentes of the quality score calculation:

| Website URL | +1 | A website is a sign that your vacation rental is legitimate |
| Google Maps | +1 | Valid Google Maps address is required for listing to appear on "Map Search" feature. |

For vacation rental owners that wish to boost their quality score to assure that their listing is displayed near the top, your best course of action isto work your way down the quality score items and make sure that your listing has those items present in your listing.
We do offer a way for vacation rental property owners to increase their quality score (by +1 or +2) or to quality for free $50 or $100 coupons that can be applied towards your annual listing fees. For listings in highly competitve categories, the extra 1 or 2 points in quality score will take you right to the top! To take advantage of this feature, please login in to your account, click on the Tools icon for the property you are targetting and then click on the last option, "Back links" and follow the instructions on that page!
