This two-bedroom apartment is centered around the traditional Umbrian kitchen. Here everybody meets in front of the open fireplace for cooking, taking meals, playing and relaxing. There is space for a family or group of four, with the possibility of additional sleeping accomodation for two more persons. All rooms are furnished with paintings, reliefs and sculptures by the artist Wolfgang Sandt. The kitchen workplace is made of Peperino sandstone and black slate in combination with sun coloured yellow tiles. On summer days you can enjoy your meals on the shaded terrace in front of the kitchen. The windows of this apartment open towards the flower garden, meadows, olive groves and rolling hills to the South, East and North.
Size: 90 sqm; groundfloor access; 1 large bedroom with two adjacent single beds and 1 extra bed upon request; 1 bedroom with double bed and cot upon request ; 1 kitchen with dining area, open fire place, 4-flame gas stove, refigerator with freezer, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery; 1 bathroom with bath tub; 1 large terrace with pergola towards north west with table, chairs, sun chairs, sunshade. Central heating; sheets, towels included. Pets welcome.

All our apartments are fully equipped with kitchen utensils. You will not find dishwashers, washing machines, micro wave ovens or automatic coffee makers, but of course you can use our washing machine. We deliberately have renounced to TV sets, stereo and telephones in our apartments: our guests will enjoy the luxury of silence and retreat during their stay at La Rogaia. A large flower garden and sculpture park surround La Rogaia. Each apartment has a private terrace lined with mediterranean herbs and tranquil gardens to enjoy. Our pool offers refreshment on hot summer days.
Master craftsmen known for their artistic flair within an ancient tradition have restored all buildings at Villa La Rogaia. Outstanding art works in marble and other stoneworks by the sculptor Wolfgang Sandt give this holiday home a very special touch.
The surrounding landscape is a tapestry of olive groves, sheep pastures, woods, sunflower fields, punctuated with cypress and ancient stone oaks. Here, far away from your hectic everyday life you can relax amidst a natural setting. In the early spring, almond and peach blossoms paint the valley. The summer brings honey scented ginestra (broom). Warm august nights are filled with cicada concerts. The hills are laced with golden hues in the mild autumn, warmed by the scent of chestnut fires throughout the valleys. La Rogaia is the perfect spot for those who seek absolute silence: the next public road is 2.5 km away.
La Rogaia also offers a wide range of creative classes: cookery and wine tasting, dancing, painting, sculpting, writing, guided walking and herbal tours, olive picking. Classes take place at Villa La Rogaia, an outstanding wheelchair friendly countryhouse in Umbria with pool. We serve delicious food with products from our organic farm.
Additional Rate and Deposit Information
All prices plus last day cleaning fee of EUR 60 per apartment. Extra cleaning fee for dogs EUR 20. Charge for extra person EUR 20 per week per person. Water, heating, sheets and towels are included.
Please note that in high and mid season we only rent by the week. The day of change over is always the Saturday.
