The cottage has 5 bedroom, full kitchen, 4 pc. bathroom (tub, shower, sink, & toilet), dining room, mud room, work room, huge cedar decks that wrap around 3 sides of the cottage.

On site, there is swimming, canoeing, rock fossils, rock hounding, apple orchard, country gardens (flowers & vegetables), dark sky for star gazing, wildlife (deer, rabbits, birds, etc.), nature trails, fishing, and birding (300 species found on Manitoulin Island).

Manitoulin Island is largest freshwater island in the world (200 km. x 150 km.). Manitoulin Island is situated in Lake Huron, part of the Great Lakes (20% of world's supply of fresh water, 90% of N. America's supply).

Providence Bay has the largest sand beach on Manitoulin (over a kilometer long), hardware store, fine dining, 2 family restaurant, gas station, motel, grocery store, nature interpretative centre, and located on the south shore of Manitoulin Island.

Nearby, there is boating, horses, rock climbing, caves, waterfalls, antiques, native pow-wows & dancing, antiques & auctions, and unique pastoral countryside.

During the winter, there is ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snow shoeing.

Rental Policy

Application form and liability waiver are required, $500 damage deposit required with application, refunded within 2 weeks after rental. Weekly rentals are from $600 to $1,000 (depending on season).

Arrival Times

Weekends are from noon Friday to Noon Monday Weekly rentals from 2:00 PM Sat to 11:00 AM following Saturday.
