This 7 bedroom executive pool home is equipped to the highest standard of luxury and comfort that we know sets it apart from any other. When we go on vacation we want to be pampered and that is what "The Emerald Villa" is all about. Accredited and awarded a "5 star signature" rating, the highest possible accolade, by an independant accreditor of Florida Vacation homes this villa is the most luxurious and comfortable vacation experience you and your family can find in the Disney area.

THE RESORT

Emerald Island Resort is a prestigious resort development just two miles from Disney. The secure gated community is nestled on an upland tropical oasis area set within hundreds of acres of stunning nature preserve. The elevated position of the resort means that the views over the lowland wetland and woodland preserve are unrivalled. The Davenport creek runs by the resort and all the way through to Tampa bay and the wildlife is abundant with rare and exotic species. Over the creek runs the land bridge which is the approaching road into the resort where you will see many birds enjoying their natural habitat as you approach the friendly gatehouse keeper and security guard. Within the heart of the resort are acres of protected woodland with nature trails and picnic areas for you and your family to enjoy a lazy afternoon away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.

At the resort clubhouse you will find all the things that you would expect at a 5* hotel. The reception functions much the same and offers information, the arrangement of transport or dinner tickets etc. The facilities of the clubhouse include a communal pool with tiki bar for early evening drinks before dinner, a gym, sauna, cyber café, games arcade, tot lot for the younger guests and for the more adventurous, tennis and volleyball courts. A sundries shop and DVD hire is to be added in the very near future as the property sales office closes and all the homes at the resort are sold.

The resort is the closest resort to Disney. It is so close in fact that it has the address of Celebration, Disney’s own community located to the south of the main theme parks. Being this close to Disney and Celebration you can enjoy all the restaurants and amenities that they have to offer with just a 10 minute drive. Less than a mile from the resort entrance are golf clubs that boast championship conditions all year round, if that’s your interest, and in the other direction the US192 with all it’s attractions and quiet nightlife. The Outback Steakhouse, Carrabbas Italian restaurant and many more are all situated less than a mile away as is the nearest supermarket.

The resort style living at Emerald Island Resort has something to offer to all of the family and means we can offer so much more for you to do than just spend time at the vacation home. Membership of the resort for you and your party is included within the cost of your stay and you are free to use all amenities as much or as little as you wish.


THE SETTING

Our vacation home is set on one of the most enviable and largest plots at the resort and offers more peace, quiet and tranquility than you will find almost anywhere else in the Disney area.

From the southerly facing pool deck there are stunning views of the tranquil lake, and across from the lake there are unspoilt lush green woodland and wetland lowland habitat protected areas as far as the eye can see. The slightly elevated position of the villa means that the views overlooking the trees are truly majestic and you feel really close to nature and gods garden. Birds and other wildlife also love it here and we have observed otters playing in the lakes.


THE POOL AREA

The pool area has been designed with the feeling of a tropical oasis to create a space worthy of the stunning views and bring some of the lush greenery closer adding to the overall seclusion of the pool deck area. The pool itself includes a large rock waterfall feature surrounded by tropical plants and flowers of the area and a wide selection of huge clay pots and urns full of lush green foliage. As fantastic as it looks now, it will only get better as the planting establishes itself over the next few years.

The huge pool deck was extended as far toward the lake and either side of the home as we could go to ensure that there is ample room for all our guests and more to enjoy the Florida sunshine. The southerly outlook means that it catches the full sun all day, but if the Florida sunshine is not your thing or you have had your fill for the day you can shade under the fans in the Lanai area and ample furniture for all is provided. It’s the perfect place to break bread and drink wine as the sun goes down and the evening lighting of the pool area comes to life with a versatile atmosphere that suits either the party animals or romantics.


THE VACATION HOME

Our vacation home comes with 7 bedrooms, a games room, two living areas and it’s very own private pool. It is a Palm Harbour style designed specifically for the Enclave part of Emerald Island resort. The luxurious home is around 5 minutes walk from the clubhouse or maybe 10 if you take the nature trail.

The furnishings and décor we chose are in two forms. The dining and living room area and the main master bedrooms, with their four poster beds, all have an elegant and formal style that is just plain lavish. The kitchen breakfast room and family room however have a much more casual style that you can really kick back and relax in. Don’t get me wrong you can relax in all the rooms but these areas offer serious comfort and relaxation. The family room boasts rustic pine furniture and top grain leather sofas, the ultimate in leather and the perfect place to enjoy the PS2 or X-Box through the large HD – High Definition – DLP screen television and BOSE digital home theater system. This system rocks and a wide selection of DVDs, videos and games has been provided for rainy days or lazy evenings.

The garage has been converted into an air conditioned games room complete with air hockey, foosball and, most importantly, a Brunswick 8ft Pool table with centennial ball and cue set. Finished off with bar lights this room is a fun place to spend an evening with your family. The children’s rooms also boast a PS2 and X-Box, and there is a range of board games to suit any taste. Guests have commented that there is so much to do inside the home that it will be difficult to spare time to visit Disney!

The home has a compliment of four master suites. These have all been furnished with king or queen four poster beds with pillow top quality bedding. In fact all beds apart from the top bunk in the younger themed boy’s room are lavished with pillow top bedding – so luxurious it’s like sleeping on a cloud and you won’t want to go home. The three twin rooms each have an adjoining ensuite bathroom shared with one other room. Two of these bedrooms have been themed, the first with two single four poster beds in a white lacy style for the younger more discerning ladies in the party, and the other in a Cowboy and Indian style to suit the younger gentlemen of the group. The other twin room has been furnished in a neutral style to suit anyone. Televisions with cable are provided in each bedroom.

The kitchen comes equipped with everything that you could possibly need for providing summer drinks or snacks, to catering for full scale dinner parties. We have catered for what we consider all eventualities and guests but if you require something you feel may not be provided please ask and we will do our best to provide it if it isn’t already there.

NEWSFLASH - - - HD satellite TV!! ESPN Sports station!! Internet PC!! All added for 2005, and planned for 2006 Xbox Live!!

We believe that you and your guests can’t stay in better accommodation or at a finer location in the Disney area. this really is the perfect vacation home for your perfect vacation!
