The Scottish Artist Studio offers B & B, and self catering for academics on business and tourists in a very friendly home with excellent food, fantastic views, a lovely garden and a gallery of paintings by artist John Stoa.

The Scottish Artist Studio accommodation convienently placed near Ninewells Hospital, the Scottish Crop Research Institute in Invergowrie, the West Park Centre and just over 2 miles from Dundee University, and the city centre, offers the chance to enjoy Scottish hospitality with great food, a lovely garden, views over the river Tay to the Lomond Hill in Fife, and an ever-changing gallery of paintings by resident artist John Stoa.

Art classes are held weekly and painting courses in watercolour and acrylics for both beginners and artists with painting experience are held monthly April to September with accommodation available for those coming a distance.

Only 12 miles from the golf links course at Carnoustie, and 15 miles from the links golf courses at St. Andrews it is well placed for guests who enjoy both playing golf and watching major golf tournaments. There is a lovely beach at Broughty Ferry with many fine restaurants including the Fisherman’s Tavern, horse riding on offer at Carnoustie and at Kinshaldy Riding Stables in Fife. Glamis Castle is only a short car journey away from Dundee and hill walkers may enjoy walking in the nearby Angus glens.

There are four very comfortable rooms available for B and B and a full Scottish breakfast with real coffee, lots of toast and Anna's homemade jam is served in the sunny studio room with stunning views of the river and a chance to see paintings in progress.

Whenever you visit Dundee, whether you are a professional attending a conference at Ninewells Hospital , SCRI or Dundee university looking for a home from home or a tourist on holiday visiting Scotland for the first time a sincere welcome is guaranteed and the best in Scottish hospitality.

Conveniently close to Ninewells Hospital, SCRI in Invergowrie and handy for Dundee airport the Scottish Artist Studio accommodation offers business people a real home from home. Self-catering is a very popular option for guests who may stay for a week or longer with full use of the kitchen and laundry facilities.
