Our apartment is in the historic (ca 1912)Weissinger Gaulbert Building. Built as the signature apartment building for the region, the building has 90 apartments, an art gallery, barber shop, asian restaurant, and an interesting array of residents, including students, medical professionals, actors, opera personnel, teachers, retirees and young families - in other words, a mixed used building. The beautiful Louisville Free Public Library is just across the street; easy access to restaurants, shopping, parks, concerts and theatres.
