The Inn is furnished with fine antiques of the period and located in Orangeville's Heritage District. A quaint stroll away from a myriad of restaurants, and shops. Artist studios, hiking, skiing, and golfing are only a short drive away. Whether you choose to relax by the fire in the parlour ,curled up with a book in the upper sitting room, or sipping a cool drink on the cozy covered porch , you will definitely feel at home. Our Inn B& B offers our guests all the modern amenities offered at most resorts & hotels, but it is our uniqueness of a time gone by that intices so many guests to 'Experience the In Town Inn' and return time and time again. Our Honeymoon suite features a queen size, four poster canopy bed, fireplace, and original claw foot soaking tub. This suite is sure to create an ambiance unrivalled. We have five comfortably appointed guest rooms; three rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, full gourmet breakfast served daily and afternoon tea, lunch and dinners are available for an addition fee upon request. The Inn is also available for intimate & special functions & meetings up to 36 guests. Whether a small wedding, shower,meeting, retreat or family gathering we have the perfect setting. This 1871 home was purchased by Alexander Dunlop McKitrick, the son of Irish immigrants.

In 1894 Alexander McKitrick became owner and editor of The Sun Newspaper, working from his home on the paper, he renamed the paper, The Orangeville Banner, which is still in existence and celebrated 110 years of service.
Alexander McKitrick also served on town and county councils and became Mayor of Orangeville.
