Excellent beachfront accommodation on a still reserved Atlantic coast area. Modern 2 bedrooms apartment with a beautiful sea view. This lovely beach is protected by rocky cliffs.
There's a new small coffee shop over the sand and you can find everything in the village market.
Lisbon is 1 hour away, driving, (1,5 hour by bus) and you're close to Castelo de Obidos (medieval village and one the Portuguese 7 wonders), Ribeira D'Ilhas beach (world surf championship) and Covento de Mafra (the more important Portuguese Baroque monument). Another interesting attraction are the palaeontological remains of the region, mainly in the municipality of Lourinhã, which include fossilised bones, footprints, eggs and even embryos from Jurassic dinosaurs.
Also Peniche is very popular since there is one of the world's first protected areas, the Berlengas nature reserve. During summer, the islands can be visited taking a ferryboat from Peniche. Supertubos is the most popular wave in the region, with very fast and powerful(tubular) waves, one of the best in europe, some call it the "European Pipeline". Peniche, with its typical harbour, its white windmills and chapels and large sand beaches has inspired notorious painter artists as Maurice Boitel.
São Bernardino is in the middle of Peniche and Lourinhã, 7km away from each.
