Full Kitchen with large refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. Bathroom has a compost toilet that you shouldn’t be scared of. It uses peat moss to naturally compost the waste. It doesn’t even smell. I have until the end of October a chemical toilet if you prefer. Out back I have 5’ x 8’ shower that has hot water. Fenced in for privacy. Being located on a dead end you probably never see a car. Inside there is a 36” x 38” shower stall. There a nice breeze that comes in from the water at night, but in case it’s too hot I have air conditioning. Outside there is a nice deck with a table and umbrella and a propane grill. Down next to the water there is another deck to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Because the sun goes down over the mountains it’s like being on the west coast with the beautiful sunsets. Steps lead down to two docks that hold three boats. A three person Jet Ski A four person Jet Boat A six person Boat Also available is a wakeboard, its easier than water skiing and more fun. It can be pulled by any boat, but the kids prefer the Jet Ski because it’s easy to handle. I have all the life jackets needed. There is also plenty of lawn chairs. The only things you need to bring are your toiletries, towels, food, drink and the proper attitude. The kids can jump off the dock. There is a ladder to get back up. Or they can jump off the large 13’ water trampoline. The water is warm and clean. Mountain View Lake is a private lake with no public access, which means no large amount of traffic like the big lakes. Though it covers over 400 acres, they have a rule that when you do take out a boat you go counterclockwise around the lake. This keeps the traffic (if there is any) from getting congested. The official boating rules state that you must maintain 150’ from shore and from other boats. Always yield to a kayak, canoe, or any non-motorized vessel. While pulling anyone on tubes, skis, or wakeboard, you must have a spotter. On the Jet Ski they can sit backwards. To operate any of these boats you must first sign a waver that basically state that you understand how to safely operated the boats and understand all the rules and responsibilities associated, and are completely liable for any damages to the boats, personal, or anything deemed responsible on your part. For younger kids I have a 9’ round blow up wading pool. Sunapee State Park is right next door . a perfect place to bring a picnic and let the kids play in the sand and the shallow water. You can fish for small mouth Bass or large mouth Bass over at Mud Pond. There are many local golf courses. Two of the public courses are Twin Lake Golf Course 603-526-2034 and Newport Golf Club 603-863-7787 There is a fire pit with beach sand surrounding it, and plenty of wood. Just be sure it’s completely out. In the fall you can enjoy the beautiful foliage The mountains offer great hiking trails, bike trails, and a Skyride up Mount Sunapee. Things don’t slow down in the Winter as the mountain opens up to skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, and a multitude of events. The State maintained snowmobile trails run right by the road leading to the lake house. You can ride right up the doorstep. Hunting is also big in the Sunapee area. There’s so much to do or you can just do nothing. All you need to bring are towels, food and drink, and a great attitude!
